  The essay is to be written about a current news story directly related to financial planning.  The essay is NOT just a summary of the news story or case study.  The essay should have three parts:  introduction, body, and conclusion.  Open the essay with a summary of the story (who, what, when, where, and how).  The main body of the essay is a narrative of the case problems and facts retrieved from your text and should be at least three (3) paragraphs.  Each part of the case problem should have its own heading or subheading.  The conclusion should be your opinion about the event, persons involved, and the legal implications based on what you have written in the body of the paper.  Your references page will have at least two references (the articles or sources of the case problem information and your text book) plus any other references you use or cite.  Remember APA style!
