Prompt:
Schedules are used as management tools to communicate work sequence, dictate start/finish dates for activities, and to track progress on just about every type of project.
Often referred to as Forward Pass and Backward Pass, these terms are related to ways of determining the early or late start (Forward Pass) or early or late finish (Backward Pass) on an activity.
Instructions
Complete Exercises 1 (Forward Pass), 2 (Backward Pass), and 3 (Critical Path) in the supplied PowerPoint deck. Write your answer(s) on each slide, and upload the completed document to Canvas.
Note: You do not have to do Exercise 4 in the slide deck (the answers are already supplied). Exercise 4 is a demonstration of how to ‘Crash’ a schedule. Crashing a schedule is one approach to reducing schedule length.
