PART 2: Regardless of which project you choose from Part 1 above, you must also write a SEPARATE 2-3-page reflection that includes the following elements:
A brief (1 page) PROJECT reflection about which theories of leadership and which readings, terms, concepts related to ethics and leadership informed the development of your project and any additional thoughts that occur to you as you try to enact and apply learnings from Ethics in Leadership class. If you do a traditional paper, this could be an annotated bibliography. If you do a creative project, please elucidate the theories, terms, and concepts depicted in your work.
A brief (1-2 page) PERSONAL reflection where you examine what you have learned about yourself over the course of the semester in relation to your capacity to understand, demonstrate, and facilitate ethical leadership across contexts. Please succinctly address each of the following (approx. one paragraph for a-e):
a. How has (or hasnt) your understanding of ethical leadership evolved over the course of the semester? Discuss class readings and resources that support or contradict your personal philosophy.
b. What have you learned about personal change (shifting mindsets, beliefs, or actions) this semester? What kind of developmental activities and experiences foster successful personal change? How might this shift across contexts, situations and cultures?
c. What have you learned about creating organizational, systemic or social change this semester? What kinds of leadership fosters successful change in these arenas? How might this shift across contexts, situations and cultures?
d. How will you continue to develop your leadership insights and abilities after this class? What is next for you as a change-maker and leader?
e. Pick one goal from part d above and answer the following:
What is your overall leadership goal(s)?
What skills/abilities/knowledge do you still most need to develop in order to reach your leadership goal(s)?
What specifically will you do to develop these skills and abilities?
Which developmental activities (defined as experiences, assignments, and activities that help you learn about what leadership is and how to be more effective in the leadership process) do you enjoy most? Which are most effective for you and why? Which are you most likely to pursue in the future?
