Print Media Position Paper – Travel/Tourism/Recreation Magazine

Travel/Tourism/Recreation Magazine – Students will read a widely circulated travel/tourism/recreation magazine (e.g. Travel & Leisure, Cond Nast Traveler, National Geographic Traveler, Islands Magazine, Scuba Diving) and write a position piece on one article.  Each student will identify key constructs/concepts from hospitality and tourism and discuss these concepts.  The position piece should also include the students opinion of the article e.g. accuracy, the inclusion of relevant and important information, agreement with what is written, the likelihood of the ideas success, etc. Opinions should be supported by relevant points from the article.
