Optimism

You have been introduced to many concepts in Positive Psychology so far this semester. Chapter five in your textbook is all about positive thinking and expands upon one word that hold much power in many areas of our lives: how we think, feel, behave, engage, our successes, and even our overall health &longevity: Optimism. Optimism by definition is a mood or attitude associated with the expectation of a desirable, advantageous, or pleasurable future.” Though this is great, it is at times not as easy as it may seem, particularly when we feel alone, stressed out, overwhelmed, or just do not think people get us. But it [optimism] is vital to our well-being.
