Integrative Assessment: Make A Change in the Society
Description: You have developed your ideas of the Good Life, and then used these ideas to critically analyse an aspect of Australian society, exploring concepts such as equality and inequality, advantage and disadvantage, merit and opportunity.
This is your opportunity to think constructively. Drawing on local and international examples, describe what you would change about an aspect our society that better reflects your idea of the Good Life. In addition, explain why you would make this particular change. The important aspect of this assessment is to convince your audience that this change is necessary, and would make a difference. Dont think in terms of what is and isnt possible think about what is needed.
You are required to substantiate your argument using at least 5 credible sources for example, academic literature (journals, books) and grey literature (government reports, reports by non-government organisations, non-peer reviewed sources).
Throughout the semester, you will be provided with materials that will guide you in your response to this assessment task.
Assessment Criteria:
The assessment piece will be assessed according to the following criteria:
Clearly identifies and explains the aspect of Australian society that you would like to change (8 marks)
Clearly articulates the change that you would like to make (10 marks)
Develops a clear and compelling argument around why this change is needed (12 marks)
Submits original work that is clearly expressed, professionally formatted and proof read (5 marks)
