Critical Thinking Paper

“Using the work of Hurston and Nelson (or any other pair of women writers on our syllabus), write an essay that explains how we might read their work as a feminist response to and intervention in debates over the roles and responsibilities of Black artists and Black literary art.”

The essay will not require a formal introduction or conclusion, nor should you feel compelled to follow the “five-paragraph” model.  Rather, I will ask you to focus on developing a thoughtful and thorough response to the prompt that expresses your ideas clearly and uses the texts to support them.
