Classism
1. Topic:
“Being Country” (pg. 507) Bobbi Ann Mason Classism/Stereotyping/Identity Politics
2. Thesis: must try to persuade others to see the problem/issue and its significance, and must take a position regarding some aspect of it.
3. Support: must make significant use of at least 4 authoritative sources on the topic that offer support and evidence for your argument; at least 1-2 of which provide another perspective, a different way of seeing the issue (often a good opportunity for your paper’s rebuttal/refutation).
4. Length: 4-6 pages, not including the Works Cited page
5. Format: At least six paragraphs, including an introduction and conclusion, double-spaced, 12-point size, Times New Roman font, MLA-style (title, headers with your last name and page numbers in upper-right of each page, including the Works Cited page, etc.)
