Beer Positioning, Report and Presentation
Objective:
To research and present a specific style of beer, applying both the topics learned in your coursework and secondary research from beer recipe development.
Method:
Your team is given the task to create a beer based on a specific style of beer. The beer will require
a)a unique label
b)a recipe
c)a story
d)positioning in the market.
You will need to research relevant facts about the ingredients, style, tradition and trends. Your research should include observations from Assignment 1.
The Report should include:
A.A full description of the style of beer including:
1.Information on the grains, water, hops, yeast, adjuncts used in the recipe
2.Style profile of the beer
3.History or tradition of the beer
4.The recipe card for the beer
5.The requisition for the adjuncts
B.Beer facts that relate to:
1.Unique name for the beer including a story
2.A unique design for the label
3.A tag line and marketing for the beer
C.Sales Information:
1.Bottle label with highlighted important information
2.A suitable beer pairing
3.Pricing for a single bottle (LCBO)
D.Presentation:
1.Each team has three minutes to sell their beer
2.Team must demonstrate confidence, eye contact and vocal clarity.
3.Team must include industry terms and presents within time limit.
