Design and Application of Materials in Science and Engineering

You will select a specific application of a material of your interest. For example, you could choose titanium alloys for hip implants, nickel alloys for aircraft engine turbines, composites for wind turbine blades, silicon for photovoltaic cells, etc. You will prepare a written report on your chosen topic and give a 5 minute live presentation online during the conference in Week 12. The written report should include the following:
