Healthcare Economics of Insuring the Working Poor
The paper must be a single-spaced 5 to 7-page, 12-point Times Roman document (excluding the title and reference pages). The paper must address a contemporary healthcare problem related to economics or finance of healthcare. The paper should be on any current healthcare economic/financial topic that applies to your profession, other than the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare). The paper must emphasize economic reasoning to describe the strengths and weakness of the specific proposed economic policy recommendations. You will be expected to combine the knowledge you learn in this course with research you complete on the topic. Your paper should consider current events and incorporate health economics concepts and analysis.
I want the paper to focus on the economics of people close to the poverty line (working poor) in the US and how difficult it is for them to afford healthcare while considering the overall impact of uninsured persons on the economy because sometimes people use the emergency room as a way to get a checkup if they are uninsured.
