Game

students will select one event within game history, and write about its broader applications both to the trajectory of game history and to larger effects on culture writ large.  In other words, situate a particular moment of gaming history within a broader frame.  The games we play, research, and otherwise care about are not just for our own entertainment, but do point to cultural trends that we both can and should be speaking to as part of this course.  These essays should include at least one citation from a source that does not publish exclusively on gaming (Time magazine, the New York Times, etc.) and one from a source that focuses primarily on gaming culture (Polygon, IGN, etc.)  Essays should be between 1500 and 2000 words.Example ideas: The blue ocean strategy of the Nintendo Wii; the shift from arcade multiplayer gaming to online multiplayer gaming; how sexism in the gaming industry influences design choices, etc.

I gonna choose street fighter to be my topic, I will discuss the aspect of the shift from arcade multiplayer gaming to online multiplayer gaming.
