We know that each of the Big Five personality types have evolutionary advantages and disadvantages. Do you think our modern society today has increased advantages for some personalities and decreased advantages for others? How does this play a role in the development of mental disorders such as depression, anxiety, or eating and addiction disorders? Give at least one specific example.
Try to identify a quintessential movie or television character for each of the explanatory styles of pessimistic and optimistic and an impact on the character’s physical health. You may choose to identify a celebrity or famous individual instead of a fictional character, if you like.
