The book analysis requires students to read and consider the book How to be An Antiracist, Ibram X. Kendi.  In the paper you must critically reflect on the issues raised by the book, and how they relate to issues in Administration of Justice.  These need to be explored with reference to your learning and the development of your insights throughout the course.  You must select TWO chapters out of the book for your focus, but your critical reflection must incorporate new, additional research.  You must incorporate FIVE Empirical Articles.  The best reflections will integrate research, personal observations, individual insights connected to the book, and theories and ideas from the class materials.

The book reflection should be between 800-1000 words.  It must be submitted online through Canvas.  Submissions should be in 12 point Times New Roman font with 1.5 line spacing.  References should appear in Chicago style with a full reference list at the end of the reflection. References should appear in Chicago style with a full reference list at the end of the reflection.  Reference lists do not count towards the final word count, but in-text references do. Include a cover page with your name, the class, and instructor information.  A marking rubric is included at the end of the syllabus and provides information on how the reflection will be assessed
