Assignment 1: Case Study Proposal

The purpose of the Case Study assignment is to analyze a specific organization in depth, making use of the theories and concepts from required readings to demonstrate your comprehension of course materials.

For Assignment 1: Case Study Proposal, you will select an organization with which you are familiar or which you would like to examine. The organization could be a non-governmental organization, a government agency, a for profit or a not for-profit firm, etc. To prepare to complete this part of the assignment, read at least 3 current newspaper* articles and 3 peer-reviewed journal articles no more than five years old about the organization you will be studying (and/or companies in the same industry as the one you are studying if there are no articles available on your company). Based on this information, write a 2-4 page proposal providing some background/history, interesting facts, and explaining why you selected this organization. Please include references to the 6 sources (3 current newspaper articles and 3 peer reviewed journal articles).

LENGTH: 3-5 pages, typed, double-spaced, Times New Roman 12 point font, 1 inch margin on each side. Title/cover page and reference page do not count toward the 3-5 page requirement.
