Article Summary Assignment

For this assignment you will read, analyze and summarize the content of one of the three research articles included in your reference page. You may choose any of the three articles that you wish. However, your selected article must be a primary research study from a peer reviewed journal that includes the following sections: an introduction section/literature review, a method section, a results section and a discussion section/conclusion.

Please summarize the information from the selected journal article IN YOUR OWN WORDS using the guidelines below and proper APA formatting. Note that the information below is to consider when writing your summary, all items may not be applicable to your selected article. Further, please DO NOT use a question and answer format when submitting this assignment. Instead write a summary using the questions below as a guide to the type of information that should be included within your summary. Please refer to the example assignment on the previous page for any formatting or content related questions.

The full reference for the selected article must be included in an APA formatted reference page at the end of your assignment. May sure any and all sources referred to within the body of your article summary assignment are cited in proper APA format. Consider the following when summarizing your selected article for this assignment: 
What is purpose of the study?
What topics are presented?
What prior studies have been referenced?
What is (are) the study hypothesis (or hypotheses)?
What methodology did the researchers use to collect their data?
Who were the sample participants?
What was the unit of analysis?
What variables were manipulated or evaluated (independent variables) by the researchers and what behaviors were measured (dependent variables)?
Were any control measures used to rule out alternative explanations (for example, factors held constant, special subject samples, etc.)?
What were the main findings of the study as reported in the results?
Do the author’s conclusions follow logically from the results reported?
Were any alternative explanations offered for the results?
What were the limitations of the study?
What future research can be suggested based on the conclusions?
