Complete this Case Study in a Word Document and submitted in Blackboard. The case study can be single-spaced and should be 1-2 pages in length. For this assignment you have two options:

Option #1: Think about your current or past work environment. Imagine you were placed into a department level management position (if you were not there already). Think about your employees, the current systems and processes, and the current effectiveness in the organization.

If you could change 3 things about the group or department to make it more effective, what would you do?

Option #2: You were just recently promoted to Manager of the manufacturing department of a winter boot company in Fairbanks, AK. The department has had low levels of production and motivation in the past few months. Informal communication is high but formal communication has been low. Employees have shared that they do not feel their hard work is being rewarded and they do not feel connected to the organization.

What are 3 things you hope to implement within your first few months in this position to increase efficiency and effectiveness of this team?
